At the Services of Women Relieve Center for Afghanistan (SWRCA), we are committed to the highest standards of safeguarding. What is Safeguarding?

Safeguarding means protecting people—particularly the most vulnerable—from harm, abuse, neglect, exploitation, or harassment. It involves:

• Ensuring that our programs and activities do not expose individuals to risks of harm.

• Taking proactive measures to prevent abuse, exploitation, or misconduct.

• Responding promptly and effectively to any safeguarding concerns.

Responsibilities of Staff and Partners

All SWRCA staff, volunteers, consultants, and implementing partners are required to:

• Comply with SWRCA’s safeguarding standards and code of conduct.

• Report any safeguarding concerns or violations immediately.

• Maintain professional boundaries and respectful behavior at all times.

• Protect confidential information and avoid actions that could put others at risk.
