CAP-IDP Food Distribution / IDPs Project (WFP)
In 2019, the Services of Women Relieve Center – Afghanistan (SWRCA), in partnership with the World Food Programme (WFP), implemented the CAP-IDP Food Distribution Project in Bala Blok, Porchaman, and Golistan. The project targeted internally displaced families to improve food security, reduce hunger, and support household stability.
Objectives

To provide immediate access to essential food supplies for displaced and vulnerable households.

To improve household nutrition and overall health outcomes.

To enhance community stability and support household productivity during periods of food insecurity.
Activities

Beneficiary Targeting: SWRCA identified 1,200 vulnerable families through a transparent and accountable registration process.

Food Distribution: A total of 513 metric tons of food commodities were distributed, meeting the nutritional needs of the beneficiaries.

Community Awareness & Accountability: Families were informed about their entitlements, distribution schedules, and grievance mechanisms to ensure fairness and transparency.

Impact
