Carpet Weaving Project (ASGP)
In 2011, the Services of Women Relieve Center – Afghanistan (SWRCA), in partnership with ASGP, implemented a Carpet Weaving Project in Farah Center. The project aimed to empower women-headed households by providing vocational skills, promoting income generation, and fostering socio-economic reintegration.
Objectives

To provide women-headed households with skills in carpet weaving, quality control, and hygiene practices.

To enhance household income through the production and sale of high-quality carpets.

To empower women socio-economically and promote their active participation in community life.
Activities

Skills Training: Trained 100 female-headed households in carpet weaving techniques, including design, quality assessment, and hygiene standards.

Production Support: Provided guidance and resources for beneficiaries to produce marketable carpets.

Community Engagement: Encouraged women to actively participate in local economic activities and community initiatives.
