IDP Food Distribution Project (WFP)
Between 2017 and 2018, the Services of Women Relieve Center for Afghanistan (SWRCA), in partnership with the World Food Programme (WFP), implemented the P-IDP Food Distribution Project in Farah Center. The project aimed to provide emergency food assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs) and vulnerable households, reducing hunger and improving nutrition.
Objectives

To provide immediate access to essential food supplies for displaced and crisis-affected families.

To improve household nutrition and reduce the risk of malnutrition among women, children, and other vulnerable groups.

To support household stability and resilience during periods of displacement and food insecurity.
Activities

Beneficiary Targeting: SWRCA identified 1,200 vulnerable families through a transparent and accountable registration process.

Food Distribution: A total of 274 metric tons of food commodities were distributed to beneficiaries, covering staple nutritional needs.

Community Awareness & Accountability: Families were informed about distribution procedures, entitlements, and complaint mechanisms to ensure fairness and transparency.
