CAP-IDP Food Distribution Project (WFP)
In 2018, the Services of Women Relieve Center – Afghanistan (SWRCA), in partnership with the World Food Programme (WFP), implemented the CAP-IDP Food Distribution Project in Farah Center. The project aimed to provide emergency food and cash assistance to 1,300 vulnerable families affected by displacement, improving nutrition, reducing vulnerability, and strengthening household livelihoods.
Objectives

To ensure immediate access to essential food supplies for displaced and vulnerable households.

To provide financial support that enables families to meet additional household needs beyond food.

Activities

Beneficiary Targeting: SWRCA identified 1,300 vulnerable families through a transparent and accountable registration process.

Food and Cash Distribution: Distributed 299 metric tons of food alongside 7,800,000 AFN in cash to support household needs and nutritional requirements.

Community Awareness & Accountability: Beneficiaries were informed about the distribution procedures, their entitlements, and available grievance mechanisms to ensure fairness and transparency.

Impact
