Humanitarian Response & Disaster Preparedness

The Service Women Relieve Center for Afghanistan (SWRCA) provides timely and effective humanitarian assistance while strengthening community preparedness to withstand future crises. By combining immediate relief with long-term resilience-building, SWRCA ensures that vulnerable populations receive the support they need in emergencies and are better equipped to manage future risks.

Key initiatives include:

  • Emergency Relief Distribution: SWRCA delivers essential supplies such as food, shelter kits, hygiene items, and clothing to communities affected by conflict, natural disasters, or displacement.

  • Support for Vulnerable Populations: We provide specialized assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs), returnees, and disaster-affected families, addressing both immediate needs and longer-term recovery.

  • Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR): SWRCA implements DRR programs that empower communities to identify risks, prepare for emergencies, and reduce vulnerabilities to natural and man-made hazards.

  • Training for Local Volunteers: We train community volunteers in emergency response, first aid, and crisis management, creating local capacity to respond quickly and effectively when disasters strike.

Through these integrated efforts, SWRCA strengthens community resilience, mitigates the impact of crises, and fosters a culture of preparedness and self-reliance in communities across Afghanistan.
