Who We Are

- About Us

Services of Women Relieve Center for Afghanistan (SWRCA) is a nonprofit, non-governmental organization established in 1994 in Farah Province. Since 1996, we have been delivering humanitarian and development assistance across western Afghanistan, including Herat, Farah, Badghis, and Ghor provinces. SWRCA is a registered member of UNOCHA and SWBAC, with its main office in Herat and a central coordination office in Kabul.

We also support internally displaced persons (IDPs) and persons with disabilities (PWDs), with a firm belief that women’s active participation is key to sustainable development.
Our Partnerships
Over the past three decades, SWRCA has partnered with leading organizations including FAO, UNHCR, IOM, UNOCHA, USAID, WFP, UN-HABITAT, and the Canada Fund. Together, we have implemented projects in infrastructure development, vocational training for women, social and human rights promotion, income generation, and emergency response.
Our Commitment

The mission of the Services of Women Relieve Center for Afghanistan (SWRCA) is to serve Afghan communities, with a special focus on empowering women and vulnerable groups, by promoting dignity, equality, and sustainable development. We are committed to implementing holistic and impactful humanitarian and development programs that address education, health, livelihoods, protection, and resilience. Through fostering unity, collaboration, and community participation, SWRCA strives to create inclusive opportunities where women and marginalized populations can overcome barriers, achieve socio-economic independence, and actively contribute to building a peaceful, resilient, and prosperous Afghanistan.
